What is a Podiatrist?
A Podiatrist is a trained and licensed specialist who will diagnose the problem and treatment needed of foot and ankle issues such as bunions, heel pain, spurs, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, warts, corns and calluses. They provide medical and surgical care to people with foot, ankle and lower-leg problems, diagnosing illness, treating injuries and performing surgeries. After a diagnosis has been provided, the podiatrist will refer or consult with a Pedorthist to create the needed orthotics.
